About Prefercrash Tree Service and How It Works
Start with an estimate
Who We Are
Prefercrash Tree Service is a referral service. We help homeowners in Columbus and the Columbus area find independent local tree removal providers. We are not a tree company. We do not own trucks, saws or chippers. We do not do the work.
Why We Exist
Most people have never hired anyone to take down a tree. Then a storm hits, or a dead tree starts to lean. Suddenly there are many questions and many names to sort through.
That can feel stressful. Prefercrash Tree Service exists to make the first step easier. Less searching, more clarity.
How Providers Are Matched
You tell us a little about your situation. What kind of tree is it? Where is it? Is it blocking something or close to the house? We use that to point you toward a provider in our network who serves your area and handles that kind of job.
The provider then talks with you directly. They can explain the job and give you a written quote.
What We Expect From Providers
Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:
- Explain the job and the price in plain words
- Give a written quote before work begins
- Treat your home and yard with care
- Answer your questions honestly
You should still check each provider's own details, such as insurance and references, before you agree to anything.
What We Do Not Do
We do not cut or remove trees. We do not grind stumps. We do not set prices, and we do not promise what a job will cost. Prices vary by tree size, access, and how much cleanup is needed.
We also do not decide whether your insurance will help. Some policies may cover sudden damage, such as a storm-felled tree, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
How We Are Paid
Homeowners do not pay Prefercrash Tree Service to be connected. Providers in our network may pay for the referrals they receive. That is how this service keeps running. It does not change your quote, and you are never required to hire anyone.
